Course Information.
Who is it for?
- Beginners and intermediates and you if you just want to learn to use your rockclimbing skills to safely climb classic multi-pitch routes.
Course outline:
- Lots of instructed (1:2 maximum ratio instructor to client) climbing on multi-pitch climbs in Snowdonia, the Lake District or Scotland on our 2 or 3 day courses.
- Equipment selection including passive and camming protection and anchor building gear.
- Basic safety skills review including knot tying.
- Learn how to build a variety of bombproof stance belay anchors and tie into them efficiently.
- How to belay another climber safely using a variety of belay configurations.
- Stance management techniques including belay position and rope stacking.
- Communication.
- Abseil descents and escapes as appropriate.
- We will climb a variety of routes and you will be coached on your footwork and movement skills.
- We may introduce leading skills depending on the course length and your requirements.
